Post Results Service – June Series 2017

The Post Results Service deadlines for making applications to the Awarding Bodies are as follows:

  • 24 August 2017 – Last day to apply for Priority Service 2 (EAR2P – A2 Level only and with a university place dependant on the result).
  • 24 August 2017 – Last date to apply for a priority copy of an A Level exam script (A2/AS Level only and to support decisions whether or not to make Enquiries about Results).
  • 31 August 2017 - Last date to apply for a priority copy of a GCSE exam script (GCSE only and to support decisions whether or not to make Enquiries about Results).
  • 21 September 2017 – Last date to apply for an Enquiry about Results (EAR1 & EAR2).
  • 28 September 2017 – Last date to apply for a non-priority copy of an exam script.

EAR1 – Service 1 (Clerical re-check)

This service will include the following checks:

  • that all parts of the script have been marked;
  • the totalling of marks;
  • the recording of marks.
  • The outcome of the re-check will be reported along with a statement of the total marks awarded for each unit, or component, included in the enquiry.

    EAR2 - Service 2 (Review of marking)

    This is a post-results review of the original marking to ensure that the agreed mark scheme has been applied correctly. It is not a re-marking of the candidate’s script.

    The awarding body will have trained its reviewers to conduct reviews of marking accurately and consistently. Reviewers will not re-mark the script.

    This service will include:

  • the clerical re-checks detailed in Service 1;
  • a review of marking as described above.
  • EAR2P - Priority Service 2 (Review of marking)

    This is the priority version of the EAR2 service and is only available if a GCE A2 Level candidate’s place in higher education is dependent on the outcome.

     2015/16 GCSE and A-Level certificates

    GCSE and A Level certificates for pupils who left school in 2015 or 2016 will be made available for collection from reception between 10:00am and 2:00pm on the following days:
    • Tuesday 13th December
    • Wednesday 14th December
    • Wednesday 4th January
    • Thursday 5th January
    For those pupils who returned to the 6th form, your GCSE certificates will be given out to you shortly after the mock exams in January.If you left the school prior to 2015 and have not yet collected your certificates then please e-mail rstagg@cowbridgecs.co.uk to find out if we still have your certificates on file.

    Examination Certificates

    Did you or a member of your family attend Cowbridge Comprehensive School or its preceeding Grammar Schools?

    Have you collected your O level/GCSE or A level certificates?

    It would be wonderful to be able to pass on certificates to their rightful owners, especially as some date back to the 1960's. The school has no obligation to retain these certificates, and they are expensive to replace. If you are unsure whether you have collected your certificates please contact the school with your name at the time; the year you left; and the level of certification. If the certificates are still in school you will need to call in to sign for them, or nominate someone to do so on your behalf.
