James Morgan: “CarTen100”

Congratulations to James Morgan (Year 8) for completing his first ‘CarTen100’ last weekend. He was one of the youngest finishers, if not the youngest rider, amongst a field of 2500 adult cyclists (according to the organisers). James cycled a total of 110 miles (176 km) over 8½ hours on Saturday 12 May, from Cardiff Civic Centre to Tenby harbour. He did incredibly well, showing immense grit, fitness and determination.

The photographs show the map of the route from Cardiff to Tenby, James at the start line in Cardiff, and James crossing the finish line in Tenby.

This ride was a prelude to, and training for, the 107 miles “2 Wish on 2 Wheels” charity cycle ride from Haverfordwest to Miskin on Friday 1 June 2018, to raise vital funds for “2 Wish Upon A Star”. The charity (based in Miskin) provides bereavement support in Wales for parents after losing a child or young adult under 25 years of age suddenly and traumatically.

If you would like to sponsor James (and his Dad) use the following JustGiving link:

All donations, no matter how small, will be very gratefully received to help suddenly bereaved parents and families in need.

Well done James!
