Sports Relief

This year the school set out to organise and raise a huge amount for Sports relief - the aim was to raise money and awareness for their causes and the global community they aid.

On Friday the 23rd March, a non-uniform day for all year groups and cake sale for KS3 was organised. It was a resounding success raising an impressive total of £846.83 and £243.70. The 'Food Group’ did a fantastic job of raising £110.47 for Sports Relief, by holding a cookie sale in KS3/4/5 break. Well done to Esmee Jones, Lydia Hurford, Maddie Stimson-Jagger and Helen Jenkins!!!

Further activities were held throughout the day; in KS3 lunch year 8 pupils Baz and Henry returned to sumo wrestle once more, raising a super sumo £100!!

I would like to say a huge thank you to the Head teacher, the Head of the School Council Mrs. Taylor-John and all the staff and pupils who contributed to the cake sale both in the making of the cakes and the donations. It has been a great success, raising an outstanding £1303!!

Thank you once again for your continued support and generosity and we look forward to taking part in similar events in the future.
