Update - Friday 16 April 2021
Return of pupils to school.
We have been delighted to be able to welcome back all pupils this week to school for the resumption of face to face teaching.
We would like to thank all our pupils and students for their resilience, positive attitude and good humour.
We realise that it might take some time for pupils to fully acclimatise to daily life back in school. Members of staff will work hard to assist in this process.
Centre Determined Grades 2021
Pupils in Years 10,11,12 and 13 have been working this week with their teachers to provide evidence to allow the Centre Determined Grades process to continue. Students have been completing a range of assessed tasks within normal lesson time.
The "level of control" required for each task will vary depending on the nature of the task being completed. For example, when completing a task with a high "level of control" pupils are not able to consult notes, or access the internet to help them. It is important that all pupils abide by these rules and controls as outlined by teachers when completing tasks. Failure to follow these rules by a pupil/ student may constitute malpractice as defined by the exam Regulator. This might ultimately lead to a pupil having to complete an additional task or having the assessment disregarded entirely.
However, please be assured that we always have our students’ welfare at the centre of what we do and will support them so that they are able to achieve their very best.
Please emphasise to your child to ask us if they need any help, support or guidance. We will do all we can to help.
