Archery: Caoimhe Broomfield

Caoimhe Broomfield, a Year 7 student, recently won gold in the Welsh Field and Open Championships which took place at Fonmon, beating her previous winning score last year by two points.

Caoimhe is a keen archer with Llantwit Major Archers who began shooting bare bow. However, for the last two years she has adopted the style of sighted recurve. She also trains three times a year with the Welsh Junior Squad.

Caoimhe has also attained gold in the Welsh and Open Indoor Championships in her age group and category for the last two years and a gold in the International Field Archery Association World Postal Indoors. Caoimhe currently holds three Welsh records for field, hunter and marked animal rounds.
